Here's my new project car, my 1975 Datsun 280Z.  What I plan on doing this summer, is mounting a Chevy 350 engine in it, with a 4-speed automatic tranny.  I'm also looking for a rear-end from a 1978 or older 280ZX, which is supposed to be a lot better than the stock 1975 280Z differential.  After the engine's installed, I'll put a new muffler and dual tailpipes on it.  Also, I'll be installing a rack and pinion steering system with a power steering pump to bring it out of the stone ages.  I'm also toying with the idea of putting A/C in it, though it may be a bit of work to get the Datsun evaporator and console controls to work with a GM compressor, not to mention mounting the condenser next to the new, larger radiator I'll need to cool the bigger engine.  Lastly will be new wheels and tires.  After all the mechanical work is done, then I'll work on restoring the inside and outside.  For now, it's my commuter car!

Between Zachary and the car, I should keep busy all summer!
